Mr. Andrews Djate is the Director of Operations at India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.
He Provide overall coordination and supervision of the Finance and Administration functions of the Centre, Ensure the integrity of financial/administrative transactions and records and Have oversight responsibilities of human resource and facility management. He has been in this position since August 2012 till date.
In January, 2011-July 2012 he was the IT Risk and Assurance Manager and undertook these roles; Develop and manage project plans including objectives, milestones, timelines, task assignments etc.,Lead the delivery of engagements, manage teams and development of reports, Play a leading role in conceptualizing, documenting and selling solutions to address specific client needs, Develop and maintain client relationships and networks and coach and develop team members.
From May 2008 to December 2010 he worked as the Finance and Administrative Manager at The Centre for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Services, University of Ghana by playing lot of roles like Financial planning and control, including the preparation and submission of timely and accurate financial accounting reports, Preparation of the annual budget, annual report and long term financial projections for presentation to the Board, Ensuring effective procurement of goods and services in accordance with the Procurement Law and guidelines etc.
From July 2007-January 2008 he worked as the Information Technology Auditor at uniBank Ghana Ltd., and undertook these roles; Auditing of ATM procedures, Auditing of suspense accounts and business continuity procedures, Auditing of interest rates and interest income, Project manager for migration from GLOBUS to T24 etc.
In October 2006 to June 2007 he was self employed as an Organizational Systems Consultant performing ICT systems audits for institutions and organizations etc.
October 2004 to October 2006 he was the SNVN Netherlands Development Organization Financial Controller/Finance & Administration Manager and performed some of these roles; Responsible for the administrative and support functions of the Organisation. (Logistics, Transport, Finance, Procurement, ICT and General Administration – Salary, Loans and Advances Administration), Responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing cost efficiency and reduction initiatives. etc.
June 1999 to September 2004, Manager- Special Duties & ICT Systems Audits, He was the Personal Assistant to Managing Director – Office Manager of Managing Director’s Office comprising four support staff, Responsible for periodically verifying that existing ICT systems are functioning properly through a review of system inputs, processes and outputs. etc.
November 1997-March 1998 he was self employed as an Organizational Systems Consultant; Main contracts:
Touche Software Solutions – Deloitte and Touche Ltd and Social Security and National Insurance Trust Ltd.
He has worked as an auditor and consultant in reputable institutions like Volta River Authoity (Manager-ICT and Special audits Jan. 1994-Oct. 1997, Systems Analyst- MIS Department, 1985-1993).
