About Post-Graduate Diploma in Wireless and Mobile Computing (WiMC)

Background
Mobile and wireless technologies have seen tremendous growth over the years in the Ghanaian market. Most users of technology are constantly on the move hence the need for technologies that will not restrict movement. There is therefore the need to have the expertise to provide technical support to the growing mobile and wireless industry. The Wireless and Mobile Computing (WiMC) programme at AITI-KACE constitutes one way of providing training to support the wireless and mobile industry.
About WiMC
The Wireless and Mobile Computing (WiMC) programme is an international Post Graduate Diploma programme designed for IT professionals who wish to venture into the domain of Mobile Computing.
The course aims at grooming IT professionals to enable them work on current technology scenarios as well as prepare them to pace with the changing face of technology and requirements of an exponentially growing Mobile and Wireless industry in the country. The course curriculum has been designed keeping in mind international and local emerging trends in mobile technologies as well as contemporary and futuristic human resource requirements of the Wireless and Mobile Industry. The entire course syllabus, courseware and teaching methodology have been derived from the rich research and development background of C-DAC in India and adapted to requirements of our dynamic environment. The depth and width of the course is unique in the ICT industry covering a wide spectrum of the industry. The programme which runs concurrently with that of C-DAC India leads to the award of a Post Graduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Wireless and Mobile Computing from C-DAC, India.
Duration of the Programme.
The WiMC programme is a 24-week (6 months) full-time Post-Graduate programme
Eligibility Criteria
Holders of Masters/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering and related discipline.
Consideration could also be given to Holders of Masters/Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences based on performance in a pre-admission aptitude test
Preference will be given to qualified female applicants
