I-WEEK 2011 focused on the use of the social media in marketing as well as the use of both new and old media to market innovative products. This knowledge-sharing event will gave participants the opportunity to explore the nexus of new and old technologies to build brand, expand markets and carry out research. Industry professionals, business persons, students and the general public can all benefit from this event. Using a combination of seminars, interactive presentations/case studies, and hands-on practical training as well as the showcasing of innovative products, I-Week 2011 aimed to promote ICT innovation in Ghana and the ECOWAS. This year's event was expected to attract over 2000 participants nationwide. A special emphasis wasl be placed on showcasing ingenuity and innovation as a means to inspire creative achievements among the youth. This year's innovation week l featured workshops around the AITI-KACE Innovation Challenge where participants in this Challenge expressed creative and innovative solutions as well as applications for deployment on the mobile phone platform.
