High Performance Computing
AITI-KACE is home to a PARAM Padma supercomputing cluster, which is a product of one our partners, India's Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).
At the moment it is the first and only one of its kind in West Africa though there are plans to assist in the creation of others as part of the Centre's long term goals.
AITI-KACE has made significant efforts to reach out to government and academic institutions who stand to benefit from the kind of computing power the cluster brings.
This has resulted in collaborations with a number of institutions including the EPA. In addition, we collaborate with the Abdus Salam Centre for Theoretical physics in Trieste, Italy, by providing computing power for local climate modelling.
We also offer seminars in parallel programming to teach interested parties how to write programs that make effective use of the cluster.
