Web Applications Development (WAD)
This course equips participants with the programming knowledge they require to build websites and other web applications that connect to database. Web applications provides the platform for business strategies and policies implemented on the Web via User, Business logic and Data (UBD) services.
Participants will be able to integrate UBD services by creating a dynamic user-interface for the consumer to interact with the application. The course covers HTML5 and DHTML as well as complex COM components and Java applets, web scripting in ASP.Net/PHP/JAVA to server side programming and data services that stores, retrieves and updates information at a high level. Web-based applications are now essential to support business and major organisations in the industry. Developing such applications requires experienced professionals fluent in a wide range of cutting edge development techniques. This course aims to develop individuals and workers to fill this increasing industry demand. The focus of this course is on employability and entrepreneurship.
Upon completion, candidates will be equipped with a combination of technical know-how, solid theoretical and practical understanding of web applications development as well as a proactivity to position them for immediate employment or be self-employed.
