GI-KACE adjudged the best Public Sector and ICT Training Institution of the Year

The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE), Ghana’s first Advanced Information Technology Institute with a world-class research facility, has emerged the best Communication Technology Training Institution at the 2022 National Communications Awards.
The 4th edition of the National Communications Awards which was organized by RAD Communications Limited was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel over the weekend under the theme: “The Digitalized Economy: Innovation for National Development”.
GI-KACE’s award was in recognition of the Centre’s tireless effort in developing impact-driven programmes and developing capabilities in the area of technology and digital initiatives.
Speaking after the award event, Dr Collins Yeboah-Afari, the Director-General for GI-KACE disclosed that the award will serve as another source of motivation for Centre the to continue to play an integral role in the government’s Digitalisation Agenda.
“We are happy that the hard work of the Centre is being rewarded. Our core mandate remains to provide human and institutional capacity development, consultancy and undertake e-Government research into ICT, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and associated areas under the Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation and work to develop and apply research and innovative technologies for the socio-economic development of Ghana,” Dr Yeboah- Afari stated.
He commanded the entire staff of GI-KACE for their hard work and urged them keep playing their part assiduously while they work smart to ensure that the Centre continues to chalk major achievements in Ghana and beyond.
