Mr. Ernest Ofori

Title: Director of Consultancy


Mr. Ernest Ofori went through the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial School, Isle of Youth – Cuba, Andre Grechko
Preuniversity Institute, Isle of Youth – Cuba to the Central University, Santa Clara, Cuba where he graduated as an
Engineer in Automation.

"Ernest started work in Ghana as a System Engineer and Network Administrator on the UNDP Good Governance Programme at the State House, served as a Research Scientist (ICT & Electronics) within the CSIR and is presently the Director of Consultancy at Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT. He has worked on various Scientific research and technology transfer projects. Among them the Development of High Performance Computing and Supercomputing Center for West Africa (which was presented at the ICTP HPC e-School in Trieste, 2007) "

His latest research project on the development of a Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control using Open Source Tools was accepted for presentation at the just ended 1 st EuroAfrica ICT Cooperation Forum held in
Brussels, Belgium

Mr. Ernest Ofori became a Consultant to ECOWAS and has helped in the Regional Trade Information Systems working group sessions since 2007. He is also a member of the UNESCO Expert group on Open Systems and Open Educational Resources.
He has also served as a consultant for various organizations including Rudan Consulting Ltd (GIS – ESRI Arcview),Textgenesys Ltd (Mobile Computing), Money Systems International (Financial Modelling).
Currently he serves on the National (ISO) Technical Committee for Standardization in Systems and Software for the Ghana standards Board.
