Mr Fred Yeboah

Title: Director of Research & Innovation


 

Fred Yeboah is the Acting Director of Research and Innovation (R&I) at the Centre. Fred holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science obtained from the University of Technology, Aachen - Germany. 
He worked as a researcher at the same University in the area of Online Privacy 
and Software Engineering.

" Over the last decade and half, Fred has trained students, professionals and corporate organisations in software engineering and related areas. He has also facilitated workshops in open source technologies and written papers on the subject of emerging technologies. As Consultant, he has worked on several ICT development projects including CDM implementation and the Centre, FLOSS Include, ict@innovation, Innovation week all sponsored by IGOs. He has also been a member of several steering committees that have been instrumental in shaping national ICT policy development, research and ICT project."

His mandate at the Centre includes leading a team of researchers both local and foreign to:

    advance in-house research and innovative capabilities to design and develop software solutions for both private and public sector organisations;

    develop basic electronic devices and solutions to promote mechanized agriculture and support the Government e-governance initiatives in-line with the ICT4AD policy ;

    establish a state-of-the-art software quality assurance facility in-line with ISO standards at the Centre to support and promote development of quality software products and services in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region; and

    explore collaborative opportunities and partnerships with other institutions with similar objectives and Ghanaians in diaspora with required technical skills and competencies.
